Vive la Calle is an experimental workshop organized in Madrid.
For 3 days, students of architecture, sociology, philosophy and art gathered around the issue of homeless people and street life.
The first stage consisted of field work to soak up the theme. Then the participants met to exchange ideas. Some homeless people contributed to the project by describing living conditions in the streets, to inspire solution-driven thinking based on first-hand knowledge.
With the second stage came the creative part. It came time to put our ideas into reality. Keyword interventions were: recyclable materials, light, free, portable, shelter resistant and simple construction.
